Role Overview
As a Linux System Administrator, you will be the backbone of our hosting infrastructure. You will manage high-traffic Dedicated servers, VPS clusters, DNS infrastructure, mail deliverability (Postfix, Exim, SPF/DKIM/DMARC), firewall security, and server backups.
At Hosting4Webs, you will not be just another cog in the machine. You will work directly with modern technology stacks, influence architecture decisions, and build real-world systems used by thousands of customers daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision, configure, harden, and monitor Linux servers, VPS instances, and dedicated nodes.
- Manage cPanel/WHM accounts, package configurations, WHMCS automation, and server migrations.
- Maintain high server uptime (99.9%), investigate load spikes, and resolve kernel/service issues.
- Manage email servers, prevent blacklisting, and configure strict SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and PTR records.
- Implement robust automated backup solutions and disaster recovery drills.
Skills & Requirements
- 2+ years experience in Linux system administration in a web hosting or cloud environment.
- Deep knowledge of cPanel & WHM, Apache/Nginx web servers, MySQL database performance tuning.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Linux CLI, bash scripting, and networking protocols.
- Hands-on experience with server firewalls (CSF/LFD, iptables) and SSL certificate management.
